Precision drop forging
Precision die forging forms the basis of semi-finished part production at STP. For this purpose, we have semi-automated hammer lines through to fully automated drop-beam lines at our disposal. The process is constantly being refined to optimise component properties, quality and costs. Burr-free forging is already in use for many components, and the forging process is being continuously automated, right through to in-line heat treatment.
Advanced ring rolling technology
Using our ring rolling technology, we manufacture precision hollow and disc gears for applications such as gearboxes in the automotive industry. The combination of forming processes and in-line heat treatment ensures optimal component structures and a long service life – a guarantee of quality and efficiency.

STP und Hero Motors Limited
Joint venture in India
We are launching our joint venture in India. In October 2025, the foundation stone was laid for the new production facility of Munjal STP Industries Limited. The new plant will serve as a state-of-the-art production site for forged components and downstream machining, creating around 400 jobs and strengthening our position in the fastest-growing mobility market.

Forging line
Our new forging line sets new standards – with an investment of over €10 million, we are expanding our production capacity. The new forging line combines state-of-the-art technology with sustainability.
Servo control ensures maximum repeatability and process stability. The KUKA robots, including control and gripping technology, are fully automated using in-house solutions, enabling autonomous forging with optimised labour costs.
In addition, thanks to energy recovery, the main press saves up to 40% in energy, thereby reducing our carbon footprint and boosting our competitiveness. With this investment, STP is strengthening its position as a pioneer in forging technology and sending a strong signal in support of Germany as a manufacturing hub.
